When facing big challenges, many people’s inclination is to run from them. Aiden runs towards them, and gets the team aligned to tackle and conquer them. As he joined Covered California six months prior to the launch of Obamacare, the effort was in disarray. There was no formalized project team, no comprehensive plan, and no coordination across functional silos. In less than a month, Aiden pulled all those elements together and organized the team to undertake the hiring and training of over 500 call center personnel to support October open enrollment. Given the problems we had with the Covered California enrollment website (CalHEERS), successful call center support proved essential in processing health care applications. Without his help, Covered California would have faced the same dismal enrollment fate as healthcare.gov. When the chips are down, you can count on Aiden to stand and deliver.
